Dandelion Blu is a contemporary enameling and metalsmithing studio run by artist Sherry Insley in Baltimore MD. Enameling is a process where layers of ground glass are applied to metal and fired in a kiln at 1500 degrees for each color. Many layers are built up to produce images and patterns, some pieces are fired up to 15 times before completion. Due to the nature of this process no two pieces emerge from the kiln exactly alike, resulting in unique handmade jewelry. Vist the Shop page to buy online. Artist Sherry Insley resides in Charm City with a menagerie of rescued animals and one very patient husband. Sherry graduated with an MFA from MICA and has taught art and photography for several years in the Baltimore area. She is a core member of The Baltimore Etsy Street Team and she regularly exhibits and sells her work at national Indie Design shows. Thank you for visiting.
